We picked up a huge win on the road last night in Cleveland, MS against Delta St.  We got off to a great start and held on at the end. We play tomorrow night in Memphis against Christian Brothers University.  Here are the links to the 2 articles about last night’s big win!

I would like to congratulate 2 former Chargers Micah and Hillary delaRosa on the birth of their son McCoy. He came a little earlier than expected, he was born on November 20th and he went through alot in those first couple of days, but he is doing fine now and almost ready to join his mother Hillary at home soon.  I would like to wish them all the best and let them know everyone has been praying for them.

FYI: McCoy also received his first scholarship offer from us on November 21st

We are on our way to Jefferson City, TN to play the Carson Newman Eagles tonight. We will be trying to pick up our first road win of the year after starting off 3-0 and home. Here is the link to their website and the live stats.  Live Stats

 The Chargers came through with another win against a GSC west opponent. We were able to hold off Henderson St. and earn a 66-61 victory, which takes us to 3-0. We will be heading to Carson Newman tomorrow morning for our second game with them in 7 days.  Here is the link to last nights game. UAH vs Henderson St.

It wasn’t pretty, but we found a way to win last night at Home against GSC West foe Ouachita Baptist. We appreciate everyone coming out to support us and we hope you will come back Saturday night as Henderson St. comes to town. Here is the link to the Huntsville Times article about last night’s game. We were all really excited for Derek Johnston aka “D-Rock” as he came up huge for us last night. No one deserves more credit than Derek he has been the hardest working player in our program for years.

We need a great crowd tonight as the Ouachita Baptist Tigers come to town. Game time is 7:30 PM, here is the preview of the game from the Huntsville Times. We look forward to seeing you there!

I was very proud of how hard our guys competed last night, especially on the defensive end. We had a great crowd for our first home game, I appreciate everyone coming out to support us. It was great for a bunch of our guys who are finally getting their chance to play alot and prove themselves. Thanks again for the support. I will be slowing moving all the stuff over from the old blog, uahchargers.blogspot.com as soon as I can. I’ll have to wait for a long road trip to get that done. Hope you enjoy the new site!

Our first home game of the year is tonight at 7:30 against Carson Newman. Our team is looking forward to getting off to another great start and we need you here tonight to help us get our first win of the year and defend our home court!

I would like to welcome everyone to the new UAH Charger Basketball website. You no longer have to type the long web address in to your browser each time you want to visit our blog, we now have our own domain name www.uahhoops.com. We have a lot of new features on this site, it is a work in progress so some things will be changing as we go. We will continue to have Getting to Know your Chargers and we will also be adding a player’s diary as the season goes on, as well as new Webisodes. We hope to give everyone a in-depth look behind the scenes with the Chargers. We also have advertising on the site if anyone is interested in adding their logo with a link to your companies site.
