D-Rock’s Diary

Much has happened since my last entry. We’ve been fortunate to start conference play at 3-1. We’ve had some memorable moments for our season.
Among these moments was our home game against North Alabama. This is a big game every year due to the proximity and tradition of the two schools. This year built upon the rivalry. Both teams played well, but this game we seemed to get some bounces.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that prepared for and attended the game. It was the best atmosphere in Spragins Hall that I have ever experienced. We truly had the home court advantage. Particularly, I would like to thank our student body. Your support this year has been unparalleled in my time here. I hope that you have enjoyed our games as much as we have enjoyed your presence and enthusiasm during them.
Another person I would like to thank is Mrs. Scroggins. She has been absolutely outstanding in spearheading the efforts to promote our program. She is the one who has organized all the gameday events. Next time you see her, thank her for her work and ask her what exciting things she has planned for the next game!
After the short home stand, a weekend road trip lied ahead. As the season’s end approaches much too quickly, I’ve come to cherish these trips more. It has been a real blessing to go on road trips and spend time with the guys. Truly, it has been the people that have made these experiences so special.
While we split on this road trip, we emerged from it with a sustained confidence and a new will to become better as a team. The next month of the season should be fun.

UAH Engineers make up almost HALF of every graduating class. You are a VITAL component to this University. So we would like to recognize YOU at the next UAH men’s basketball game.
