UAH Basketball

 The Coach’s Club would like to thank everyone who participated in the “Sign of Support” in the gym last year.  It was a very successful project and we need everyone’s help in getting the word out to as many people as possible to make this year our best year yet!

To be a participant in the “Sign of Support” requires a $50 donation per person or $100 per family.  A business name may be submitted for $150.  Renewing your financial commitment each year insures your name stays up in the gym.  It would be nice to see every season ticket holder’s name on the sign.  Participation is open to anyone who would like to show their support of UAH basketball.

Our goal is to have over 200 names on the sign.  To help with this goal, please send in your donation soon.  Names can be added to the sign throughout the season, but we would like to have your name up on the sign opening night Nov. 15, 2010.

Our next Coach’s Club meeting will be this  Thursday, October 21st at 11:30 AM. The cost of the luncheon is $8.00 and will in be held in the Varsity Room, located in Spragins Hall. We look forward to catching up with everyone and discussing the upcoming season!

The GSC Pre Season Release was published today and your Chargers were the unanimous picks to win the GSC East and were also picked to win the GSC Tournament. Jaime Smith, Josh Magette and Zane Campbell were all voted to the Preseason GSC First Team. This is very exciting news for our program, but we have got alot of work ahead of us. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Here is what is going on this Friday for midnight madness….

MUDDY MAYHEM 12pm – 4pm

Feel like getting a little down and dirty?! Sign up to run the UAHuntsville’s HPE obstacle course!! The course will have obstacles such as tire runs, objects to crawl over and under, and of course, a giant MUD PIT to crawl through to the finish line.

TRASHCAN BASKETBALL 12-7pm

UAH Library is sponsoring two events for Midnight Madness this year! You all take shots at your wastebasket with discarded paper drafts, so let’s see what you’ve got!

BOUNCE- OFF 12 – 7pm

UAHuntsville Library has partnered with Magic Moments of Alabama Charity to create a Basketball Bounce-off to be held at the Library front court on October 15th in conjunction with ongoing Midnight Madness events. We would like to invite your organization to face off against other campus organizations to see who can keep the ball bouncing the LONGEST.

Movies in Spragins with ACE 6pm-11:45pm

Come enjoy some movies at Spragins Hall with the ACE!! The movies have not yet been chosen, but grab your friends, come and enjoy some popcorn and some basketball themed movies.

Calling all GAMERS! Come join the UAH LAN Party crew for a little sample before the full-blown Lan Party on November 18th!  Come enjoy trying out some games with your friends leading up to Midnight Madness.
