Coach’s Club Luncheon

I wanted to remind everyone about our next Coach’s Club Luncheon which will be on Thursday, September 22nd at 11:30 AM. The cost of the luncheon is $8.00 and will be held in the Varsity Room, located in Spragins Hall. We look forward to updating you on the progress of our team as well as other announcements!

Bouncin Blue

A Basketball Handling Drills team for players in grades 3-6 is being formed at UAH. Coach Woody Stuart, who formerly coached the Space City Spinners, is the teachers. Boys and girls interested may contact Coach Woody at 256-656-2088 for more information.
The Bouncin Blue will perform during some UAH Games as well as at local high schools. Practice will be for one hour one night a week beginning in October. Registration is October 3 but please preregister with jtcase3rd@gmail.com, The cost for equipment , i.e. ball, pant, shirt is $25. If your youngster wants to develop basketball skills in a self-paced environment, contact Coach Woody!
Hard Work Pays Off

It was a great night for our players and our program last night as they all received their rings from the 2010-11 season. Thanks again to our 3 seniors Tyler Hanback, Elliott Jones and Josh Yost.
Rematch

It is official, we will play at The University of Alabama on November 7th. This will be a rematch from last year’s game in which we came up just short in double overtime. Click Here for more details on the game.
Sporting News Preseason Poll

The Sporting News College Basketball Preview Magazine came out this week and inside it has the Preseason Rankings for DII.
We were selected as #4 in the country preseason, they also had a nice write up about our team and the guys we have returning!
Josh Magette was also selected to the Sporting News Preseason All American team along with four other players in DII. Zane Campbell was also selected as an Honorable Mention All American.
Middle School Skills Clinic

I hope that everyone has gotten off to a great start in school. We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Middle School Skills Clinic this fall. The camp will be held on Sep. 11th, 18th, and 25th from 2:30 to 4:30. We are confident that this will help you prepare for the rapidly approaching basketball season.
I have attached the brochure, so please download it and bring it with you. We feel this camp will give you a head start heading into your season!!

Chargers Meet the Mayor

On August 25th the City of Huntsville and Mayor Tommy Battle honored us for our success on and off the floor last season. It was a very special day for us, we were able to meet all of the members of the City Council and be a part of the meeting. Thanks again to the City of Huntsville and Mayor Battle!
